                      HE COULD FEEL HIS STATE  deteriorating by the day as he awoke from sleepless nights ( filled with anxiety, tossing  &   turning, never quite finding the rest that always seemed to evade him these days ) in a haze of lingering alcohol  &  marijuana, a sedation to his troubled, anxious mind. He’s right,  & Paul knew it, but it wasn’t quite so easy to just GET BETTER.   “ Does it look like I’m havin’ a laugh, Dec? M’bloody head is spinnin’ & all I want’s a cuppa water  &  a cigarette. ”
